Rider Job Fair Sponsored by the Rider VA Office
Last week Exit Realty JP Rothermel participated at the job fair sponsored by the VA office at Rider University. Myself, my broker Judy Rothermel and our Annie Mac mortgage representative Robin Eble set up a booth at the fair to speak to the men and women who may be interested in a career in either real estate or mortgage. We were able to meet many people looking for either a new career or a career change and had a couple that expressed interest in either real estate or mortgage. As the first two hours were Military or Military families only, we were honored to hear the many stories of some of our local Veterans and what they had done in their military careers and how proud they were to serve our great country. This is the second year we did the fair and it is always an honor to speak to the many people looking for new careers.
Rider Job Fair Ceremony
Some of the distinguished guests for the job fair included the color guard from the Army ROTC and they did a very nice job of posting the colors.
The national anthem was sung to perfection by the Choir from Westminster College and they also sang God Bless America to perfection.
Two of the guest speakers were the President of Rider University and the Commander of the New Jersey National Guard. I would personally like to thank them both for speaking at this very well prepared event.
The Job Seekers
The turnout was very good and there were a lot of local people both military and non military seeking jobs in this tough economy. There were national companies at the event and even companies from neighboring states such as state Highway Police Departments.
This is the second year that Exit Realty has participated in this event and I look forward to doing future VA sponsored job fair events at Rider University.
