Scouts Leading the Way
I had the opportunity on Fri to join my daughter and her Brownie troop at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery to place flags on the headstones of all that were laid to rest here. I decided to wait until today to write about it and post the pictures as it just seemed more fitting to me. We of course started with our own troop:
Brownie troop 21266
Hundreds of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
I was amazed at how many people showed up. The whole process only took about 45 minutes as scouts from all over the county came to help place the flags on the markers
Field of Red, White and Blue
I was very proud to be a part of this and be with my children as they placed the flags on the markers. It looked like a sea of Red, White and Blue when we were done. Please remember those who have passed that have served their country with pride and honor. There is no better way to serve.
