Brothers and Sisters
As I was putting this segment together I found one video that I really liked and made up my mind I would put it in. It is going to be part two of this days postings. After I figured out that one, I had a hard time finding another that would go with it and eventually found this video that I have always liked since the first time I saw it.
Everyone I am sure is familiar with how many of the men and women develop a deep bond with the people they go to war with. It is a bond that is deeper than some marriages. It doesn’t mean it hurts the marriage, it is just different and more deep.
Spanning the Generations
There is a bond that military members have that span the generations also. I feel a kind of kinship with the people I meet that fought in wars before that I had nothing to do with but we have a common link, we both served. When trying to find another video for today, I felt that this one explains to a point how the men and women of our military feel and how that pride is passed down from one military generation to the next.
Yes the military is a family and like all families, the closest ties you have are the ties with the men and women you bled next to. The rest of the military members are still family but more like a cousin, yes you have a bond, but not the same bond as those you fought along side of.
Please feel free to leave a reply at the bottom and tell me what you think of any of my blogs. If any military veterans or those currently serving would like to share some of their experiences, I would welcome the sharing of your experiences.
